Ministry of Interior Uruguay

The Ministerio del Interior is responsible for Uruguay's internal security. It supervises the National Police and is responsible for public order.

For immigrants, the Ministry is important for issuing the Cédula de Identidad (identity card), which can be applied for after obtaining residency.
