Parque Batlle
Parque Batlle is an extensive neighborhood surrounding the park of the same name, the largest sports and recreational facility in Montevideo. The centerpiece is the legendary Estadio Centenario, which was built for the first Football World Cup in 1930 and is today a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The park offers extensive green spaces, sports facilities for various disciplines, running tracks, and picnic areas. On weekends, thousands of Montevideans flock here to play sports, relax, or enjoy nature.
Estadio Centenario holds 60,000 spectators and is the venue for important national and international matches.
In addition to the football stadium, Parque Batlle houses the Velodrome (cycling track), tennis courts, an athletics stadium, and other sports facilities. The Obelisk sculpture in honor of the Uruguayan constitution is a distinctive landmark.
For real estate buyers, Parque Batlle offers a unique combination of urban living and access to green spaces. Apartments around the park are in demand among sports enthusiasts and nature lovers. The central location provides good connections to all parts of the city.
