Puerto de Piriapolis - Piriapolis
The Puerto de Piriapolis is the historic port of the resort town and a living testimony to its maritime tradition. Francisco Piria had the port built as an important part of his project.
Today fishing boats lie here alongside sports boats. In the early morning the fishermen return with their catch, and at the stands you can buy fresh fish and seafood.
At the port there are small restaurants that serve the catch of the day. Here you can taste the sea in its freshest form.
The port is also the starting point for boat excursions and fishing tours. The maritime atmosphere and the connection to the fishing tradition make this place an authentic experience away from the beach.
